Picture of the Week: Our Traditional Cabin Christmas Card Picture
Perry wanted to snuggle and watch movies, so I hung out with her for a bit. We were packing to head up to the cabin for Thanksgiving, so I had to leave her to do some laundry. I came back to her sitting like this searching for another movie.
We made it to the cabin on Wednesday evening, and Isaac and I made Aunt Carol's sweet potato pies so they'd be ready for our feast the next day.
We woke up and got dressed for Thanksgiving, while it started to snow little flurries outside.
After we took some pictures, Perry and Kait Kait took turns taking each other's picture in front of the Christmas tree.
The snow really started coming down, and everyone got super excited.
The kids got their jackets on and headed outside on the back porch. There wasn't much snow accumulating out there, so we moved to the front yard where there was a lot more.
The kids had a blast making snow balls and jumping around in the snow.
Monday was our first day in Disneyland. I woke up super early and couldn't go back to sleep, and I found Daddy and Perry sleeping like this.
We all got ready and headed into the park right when it opened. The girls loved the countdown to open the gates. Since the actual park wasn't open yet, we hung out on Main Street and chatted with Minnie Mouse.
After saying good-bye to her, we headed on into the park. Christmastime in Disneyland is my absolute favorite. Everything is decked out in lights and red and green Mickey ears. There is something so magical about this place, and it's like it's on steroids for the holidays.
While Daddy, Grace, Poppa, and Gran went on Space Mountain (Char was too scared), Charley and Perry played with the kugel ball in Tomorrowland. Char thought it was so cool that she could stop it on her own. We also rode Buzz Lightyear Astro Blasters while we waited and then again as soon as they got off their ride.
We got some rain during the week and had a pretty rainbow out our office window. I didn't take any other pictures this week, but don't worry, I made up for it over the weekend.
We met the Gerfys, Keltons, and Halls at Christmas Town Friday night. It was covered in lights, and the girls loved it.
Since we got there right when it opened, there was no line to see Santa. We took advantage and hung out with the jolly old guy for a few minutes.
After Santa, we walked around to check out the lights. We stumbled upon some bounce houses, and the kids had a blast in them. The snowball pit was the biggest hit, and we basically had to drag the kids out of there.
