Snow Daze

Every year for Thanksgiving, we head up to my family's cabin in Elkridge, Utah. There is usually snow by this time of year, so we were really excited to take Grace to play in it. Isaac and I even decided to take Wednesday off so that we could drive up Tuesday night. We got to spend four days with the family and relax away from home. It was like a mini vacation that we really needed. We left home around 3:00 pm on Tuesday. There was a blizzard warning for that part of Utah, and it was supposed to start at 7:00. We got to the bottom of the mountain right at 7:00 and couldn't see anything the first few miles up the mountain. It was pretty scary, and I kept telling Isaac to pull over. He said you aren't supposed to stop in the snow like that, so we kept going and thankfully made it to the cabin safely. When we woke up on Wednesday, there was a lot of snow! Isaac wanted to workout, so he got right to shoveling pathways around the cabin for us. While he stayed busy ou

A Lot to be THANKful for...

This year, Thanksgiving meant so much more to me than it has in the past. I don't know if it's because I have my own family now or because I've really accomplished a lot this past year. I am so thankful for my wonderful husband that always helps me out when I need it. He rarely complains, and I can honestly say that I couldn't ask for more. I am also thankful to have such a great family and to have so much of it so close! Since both Isaac and my parents are divorced, we have four families that we love and get to share our beautiful life with. Sometimes it gets chaotic and a little crazy, but I wouldn't change it for the world. We also have some pretty great friends that are practically like family. They are so special to me and a huge part of my life. Finally, I am most thankful to have such a beautiful, healthy, cute, funny, silly, sweet, loveable daughter. She makes every day better than the one before. Each day she does something new that keeps us on our toes, an

When did she get so big?

Image
All of the sudden, Grace just decided to start sitting up by herself! She's been pretty close for a while, so we knew it was coming. It is just so weird to see her sitting there like a big girl playing with her toys. We were so proud of her that we had to go buy her some new ones. If she can sit up, she needs something with buttons, lights, and plenty of sounds to entertain her. She knows that it's a big deal too! She looks around with this little smirk on her face like she's getting away with something. Of course I had to take tons of pictures. Here are the best ones. My little angel is getting so big. Her personality grows by the day, and she trys to make us laugh all the time. She's super sweet and definitely a momma's girl (which is just how I like it)!

Happy Holidays!!

...Grace got some cute new winter gear from Grammy. ...we got a Baby Bjorn so Grace can help me cook, clean, do laundry, etc. Sometimes she just gets in these moods where she  has to be held. This has been a life saver. She'll just fall asleep hanging there, and then I can actually get something done. ...Grace stared up at Daddy while he talked to her. She loves him ♥ ...we went to the mall and they just happened to be having a 40% off sale at Baby Gap! Grace got anything  and everything she wanted (including these awesome boots)!! ...Gracie wore her outfit that Kelli and Eddie got her last Christmas while we watched football. ...she splashed around in the bath. We started giving her one every night before bed, and it really knocks her out. After we lotion her up and put her jammies on, she just falls right to sleep. ...Grace can stand and hold herself up on things. We keep all of her toys in the ottoman in the living room, so she likes to stand there and l

Get Your Reb On

Image
This year, our company got season tickets to the Runnin' Rebels. I couldn't have been more excited when I found out. Saturday was my turn to use them, so the girls and I got dressed in our Rebel colors and enjoyed a girls' night out. The boys decided to take Grace to watch Nebraska lose to Texas A&M. It looks like she had a lot of fun with them. Meanwhile, us girls were cheering our loudest to help the Rebs beat Wisconsin. We drank some beers and took some pictures. The Jabbawockeez even performed at halftime, and I must say, they were pretty awesome. After the Rebs won (68-65), we headed to the car so we could meet up with the guys and watch the UFC fight at Half Shell. Kelli drove us there and deejayed at the same time. She's talented! We had such a good time hanging out with just us girls AND got to watch Rampage beat Lyoto MaCHEATa. Frannie even won a raffle and got a sweet new hat. I wish us four girls could get together more ofte
