Last Week...

...Grace practiced for her Christmas program while we drove home from school on Monday. Her class is singing Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer, Christmas Star, and The Reindeer Pokey.

...I took a picture of Charley hanging out in her 'I Love Santa' jammies after bath time and remembered that I had one just like it of Gracie, so I had to make a comparison photo.

...Charley got sick at school on Tuesday, so my mom picked her up early. When Grace and I went to get her, Grace insisted on staying the night at Grammy's. It worked out well, since she was going there the next day anyways. Our house was so quiet and weird without her bouncing around. Papa Rick took her to dinner at Metro Pizza, and we made sure to FaceTime before bed. She didn't get to say "good night" to Daddy or Charley, because they were both asleep by seven!

...Charley snuggled up to Daddy while she slept. Right next to him is her favorite spot. Especially when she isn't feeling well.

...I used my quiet/alone time to wrap some presents that I had been procrastinating on and finally got them under the tree.

...we had crazy amounts of vendors bring in Christmas goodies all week long including lunch every single day and lots of chocolate covered everything.

...Grace made snowman cookies with Grammy on Wednesday and did an awesome job.

...we had Wahoo's for dinner three nights in a row. I wasn't super impressed with them when they first opened, but they must've figured something out, because their fish tacos are to die for.

...Charley discovered their black beans and fell in love.

...we drove around looking at Christmas lights and made our way to our favorite spot, Quiver Point. They had a new Despicable Me display this year that the girls loved. Charley especially enjoyed driving with Daddy and getting to sit on my lap as she squealed "prettyyyy" every time we passed a house with lights.

...Charley's class had their Christmas program on Wednesday. She was so funny and was more interested in eating the Jingle Bells than singing them.

...Thursday was Grace's turn. It was also the night of our company Christmas party. Luckily, our party was just across the street, so we were able to have Grandma Kim bring the girls down to school and run over to watch them. Grace had been practicing for weeks and was so excited...I wasn't about to miss this.

...the girls looked like sleeping angels in their beds.

...I finally got all of our Christmas cards hung up on the archway. I love putting them here every year, so we can look at them as we come and go. Thank you to everyone that sent one! We loved them all.

...we had breakfast at Rachel's Kitchen on Saturday before finishing up the remainder of our Christmas shopping.

...my mom took Grace, my sister Geni, and me to see The Nutcracker at The Smith Center Saturday afternoon. It was so much fun. Grace loved every second and now wants to be a ballerina.

Side Note: She forced me to buy her this dress...ok, not really. I had my heart set on it, and when we walked in Janie and Jack and she ran to it and hugged it, it was a no brainer. Sorry, Daddy!

...meanwhile, Isaac took Charley to his dad's house to celebrate Zacarias' birthday. Presley and Charley had fun comparing bellies.

...we all met up at Buca Di Beppo for dinner after the show.

...Gracie taught Charley how to brush her teeth by herself.

...we had breakfast at The Coffee Cup.

...Char helped me wrap Kasie and Jeremy's gifts.

...The girls watched Planes on the iPad while they were supposed to be napping. I kept yelling at them to lay down and go to sleep, so Grace started giving me a root rub and told me to go to sleep. Smart girl.

...we rode the Santa train in Boulder City with the family. The kids loved riding the train and checking out the scenery. Grace couldn't wait to see Santa, and as per usual, Charley started crying when he and Mrs. Claus came by.

...we celebrated Christmas with the Unertls Sunday night. They got Gracie an Anna doll and matching dress to wear (from the new movie Frozen). She loved it and wouldn't take the dress off all night. She begged me to let her sleep in it, but I'm mean and wouldn't let her.

...my friend, Amy, brought over the cutest cake pop bouquets for us to take to the girls' teachers Monday morning. She's way too crafty, and they turned out so cute!!

See you next week :)
