...Char was sleeping so peacefully Monday morning that I didn't want to wake her up. ...she made me a pretty picture at school with chalk. ...she continued her obsession with the easel and colored (and watched Toy Story ) while waiting for Daddy to get home from work. Hooray for panties! ...it got cold and windy again, but we played outside anyways. Isaac played catch with the neighbor boys, while JJ flew the kite and Char strutted her stuff. ...the girls danced around the living room. There is an iTunes Radio station called 'Frozen Radio' that the girls are crazy about. They play random Disney songs, and we listen to it all.the.time. (After watching this a few times, I realized that Char was trying to sing "friend in" as in "You've Got a Friend In Me".) ...Grace put Charley to bed by tickling her face. ...the girls got cake pops. Yep, for breakfast. ...we got to school a few minute
When we were younger, Isaac always said he wanted six kids. I always said I saw myself with three girls (weird, right?) . After we had Grace and Charley, we settled on the idea of having four. We talked about waiting a few years after Charley was born and then having two more, so the first two would be close and the second two would be close. Fast forward a few years and along came Perry. We had to work for her, though. We tried for fourteen months and then had a miscarriage before getting pregnant with that little sassy pants. Since we wanted our fourth baby to be close in age to her, we started trying a few months before she turned two. We got pregnant in March only to have another miscarriage. I was pretty numb for a couple of months until it finally hit me one day. We had stopped trying and just had the feeling of "it'll happen if it's meant to". In August, we started the keto diet, and I read that it can throw your cycle off the first couple of month
We made it! Our last baby is one year old. I remember being in the hospital when he was born like it was yesterday. I can close my eyes and be right back in that hospital bed, fighting to keep my eyes open and taking two hour intervals with Isaac. We'd switch off between napping and holding the baby. It felt so good to come home and have our family together. The girls were all enamored with him, and nothing has changed. This year has gone insanely fast. When we found out we were having a boy after three girls, I was pretty terrified. I had no idea what to expect or how to even dress a boy. I always thought having girls was so fun, because you got to buy them cute clothes and accessories, but having a boy would be so boring in that department. I've found my way, and now I love picking out cute little outfits for him, and don't worry, I've spent just as much on his wardrobe as I always did on the girls! Everyone always asks if having a boy is diffe
